What is the Cloud Library app for Mac/PC?
The Cloud Library by Bibliotheca app is an innovative way to browse, borrow and read popular eBooks from our eBook collection. You will need a valid library card to use the application. If you do not have access to a library card, please ask us how you can sign up for one. Your library credentials will give you access to the eBook titles available to you as a member of the Camden library.

How do I get the Mac/PC App?
Go here and select Mac or PC.

NOTE: You must be logged into your computer as an administrator to install the software or know your administrator password.

What are the system requirements for the Cloud Library app for PC?
Here are the system requirements: Supported Operating Systems: Windows 7 and up.

Recommended hardware configuration: Dual Core CPU, 2 GB RAM, minimum 40 MB disk space needed for installation and an internet connection of at least 1.5 Mbps

How do I connect to my library?
Once you have installed the Mac/PC app, you will be asked for credentials before you can access our eBook collection. You will need to enter your library card barcode. Please call us if you have misplaced your card.

I cannot log into my library. What’s wrong?
First, make sure you have an internet connection. Second, make sure you have selected the correct library. Third, make sure you have entered your library card number correctly, no spaces. If you have outstanding fines or fees on your account, you will not be able to log in. If you are still having problems, give us a call or send an email to cloudlibrary@librarycamden.org

Can I transfer books I’ve checked out on the Mac/PC to my personal device?
Yes, you can! Once you have checked out a book to your Mac/PC, you can transfer a copy to your eReader. To do this, connect your eReader to your Mac/PC using a USB cable. When you connect it and go to the My Books tab in the app, you will see a green button appear on each book you have checked out that says “Download to Device.” Click this green button to transfer a copy of the book to your e-reader. Supported eReaders: Nook (original), Nook Touch, Nook Color (must have Nook version 1.41), older Sony, and Kobo.

Note – It is important that the Mac/PC and the eReader have both been activated with the same encrypting account – either and Adobe ID account or a Cloud ID account. If these are different you will see a message that these are different. Changing the account if you already have books on the device will prevent you from opening some of the books.

When I start the PC app I get the message “CloudLibrary.exe has stopped working. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall it but it still will not load. What can I do?
There is a folder you might want to delete after you do the uninstall. On Windows 7 is it C:\Users\userid\AppData\Roaming\CloudLibrary where userid is the Windows account you are logged in as. On Windows XP it is C:\Documents and Settings\userid\Application Data\CloudLibrary

This has some connection information and cached data that may be causing the issue.
