PoeTREE: A Celebration of Trees, Music, and Poetry!
Saturday, May 30 @ 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm

Camden Public Library, along with the Camden Conservation Commission and Tree Corps will host PoeTREE, an outdoor celebration of trees, music, and poetry, on Saturday, May 30, from 1:00 to 2:30 pm in the Camden Amphitheatre. Everyone is welcome!
In the event of rain, PoeTREE will be held inside in the Camden Public Library’s Picker Room.
PoeTREE is part of the Arbor Day Foundation’s Tree City USA program and will include the planting of a new tree, along with information about the town’s Tree Program, which has added more than 100 shade trees to public spaces.
The program will also feature live music by Louisa Stancioff and readings of poetry inspired by trees. Community members are invited to participate by reading a favorite tree-related poem or sharing original work. A limited number of reading spots are available; those interested may sign up in advance by emailing samanthaleec@gmail.com.
The event highlights Camden’s longstanding commitment to its trees. Designated a Tree City USA community by the Arbor Day Foundation since 1996, Camden has spent more than three decades preserving and enhancing its tree canopy.
The event is free and open to the public. We hope you’ll join us!
