Due to forecasted rain, the concert will now take place inside IN THE PICKER ROOM at 4:30 PM.
Enjoy free live music at the Camden Public Library from the talented trio New Shades of Blue on Wednesday, August 30 at 4:30 PM. The New England-based group will perform an eclectic mix of old-time jazz favorites, blues, reggae, and originals.
Juliane, Christopher, & Ezra began playing together in college when they met as students in a Jazz and Contemporary Music Program. They continued to perform together in various groups until the band was formed in its present configuration. Since then, New Shades of Blue has enjoyed a playing schedule up and down the coast of Maine and New England. The core of the band is Juliane Gardner, the lead vocalist; Christopher Poulin on lead vocals, guitar, and flute; and Ezra Rugg on bass.
“New Shades of Blue has played at our annual Monday Night Music event hosted by our nonprofit organization for years. They always gather a huge crowd (200-300 people), and know just what to play to keep everyone dancing and smiling. We don’t have enough good things to say about them: professional, timely, amazing tunes, soulful, and a great time. Would absolutely recommend them for any special occasion. They really know how to set the vibe for a wonderful evening.”
