Opening Reception: “Come Summer” by Midcoast Maine Book Arts

Camden Public Library welcomes Midcoast Maine Book Arts for their exhibition Come Summer, a display of artist books which harness structure, design, and materials to evoke the language, color, and textures of Maine’s natural landscapes. The exhibition will be on display in the Picker Room of the Camden Public Library during open hours.

An Opening Reception will be held on Sunday, July 6 from 2-4 pm and is open to all.

The public is also invited to sign up for a special bookmaking basics workshop with the artists on Tuesday, July 15, at 6:00 PM in the Picker Room. Email jsagaser@librarycamden.org to sign up!

Midcoast Maine Book Arts is a collective formed to promote, encourage, and educate working and aspiring book artists in Maine’s midcoast area. We seek to exhibit the work of its members and other book artists, host workshops about artists’ books, and to build interest in the general public about this art form.
