Green Burial Film Screening: “Steelmantown”

Midcoast Maine Green Burial (MMGB) will present the film Steelmantown at Camden Public Library on Thursday, October 1, at 6:30 PM in the Picker Room. There will be time for questions and discussions. All are welcome.

Tucked in the Pine Barrens of Upper Township, New Jersey, Steelmantown Cemetery dates back to around 1700 and serves as New Jersey’s first official green burial preserve. Once a heavily vandalized and neglected dumping ground, it was miraculously rescued by a local resident and transformed into a peaceful ecological sanctuary and Green Burial Preserve. The film tells its story.
