Explorations Read-Aloud: “Kidnapped” by Robert Louis Stevenson

Every Friday, at 11:00 am, on the library’s YouTube Channel and Facebook Page, the library will stream a brand new recording of local thespian, Joseph Coté reading aloud selections from a wide variety of fascinating and entertaining books of fiction and non-fiction.

For March 13, Coté will read aloud from Robert Louis Stevenson’s Kidnapped.

Orphaned by his father’s death, young David Balfour holds onto his letter of introduction as his only ticket to a better future. But when he arrives to the mysterious House of Shaw to meet his uncle, Ebenezer, David’s hope for a warm welcome is crushed and replaced with betrayal. Kidnapped and taken aboard the Covenant, David is trapped in a dangerous adventure far from the life he dreamed of.
