Camden Talks Climate: Understanding Your Utility Bill with ME Community Power and Others

Thursday, November 13, 2025 @ 6:30 pm 7:30 pm

Curious about all the line items on your CMP bill? Are you a subscriber to community solar and can’t figure out those bills and how they fit with your CMP bill?

CamdenCAN, in conjunction with Maine Community Power Cooperative, Maine Climate Action Now, Maine Conservation Voters, Our Power, and A Climate to Thrive, will host an evening session at the Camden Public Library on Thursday, November 13 at 6:30 p.m. to help you understand those utility bills.

Emily Rochford, of the Maine Community Power Cooperative, will be assisted by others to explain those opaque charges. In addition, there will be information on how to access financial assistance programs, and how to engage in efforts to reform the electrical utility system in Maine. There will also be information about the latest proposed CMP rate hikes and what’s going on with the Maine PUC.

The evening will be in person, with a zoom registration for those who need it. Bring your latest utilty bills if you’d like personalized help looking at your bill. To view the program virtually, register here: https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_sAvaF0SLTIWGFkdyDx0gpQ

The evening co-sponsored by the Camden Public Library and CamdenCAN, and is part of CamdenCAN’s Camden Talks Climate Series.
