On Exhibit: “Quiet Landscapes” Photography by Penny Linn

Camden Public Library welcomes Belfast-based photographer Penny Linn for her exhibit “Quiet Landscapes” in the Picker Room Gallery during the month of August.
“I am generally drawn toward simple compositions that embrace the minimal while transforming the ordinary into an image apart from the obvious,” Linn says. “In a sense, I extract photographs from the expansive landscapes we encounter in our daily travels.
These are interpretations of landscapes beyond a common image, to view in a new way.
About Penny Linn
“My husband and I have been in Maine since 1973. We have built two houses and raised two boys. We live in Belfast, Maine.
After a 40 year hiatus from photography I embarked on a journey to rekindle my passion for the art which entailed exiting the film world and entering the digital age of image making. I have studied photography at Maine Media Workshops and with Belfast photographer, Neal Parent.
