Learn About the Magnet Program at Islesboro Central School!

Staff and students from ICS will provide information and answer questions about being a magnet student on Islesboro during this session in the Camden Public Library Picker Room on Wednesday, April 29 at 5:00 P.M.  Come learn about this exciting, one-of-a-kind and yet very accessible opportunity for students in grades 6-12!

Since the early 1990s, students from the mainland have chosen to cross the bay each day to attend Islesboro Central School through our magnet program. ICS offers a small, safe, and supportive environment where students are known as individuals and challenged as learners. We meet students where they are—academically, socially, and emotionally—through personalized instruction, strong relationships, and a flexible approach to learning.  Our K–12 structure fosters strong relationships, creative teaching, and unique opportunities—from hands-on science and outdoor education to exceptional college counseling and independent study. With small class sizes, dedicated teachers, and a close-knit community, ICS is a place where students can thrive both academically and personally. The magnet program makes this experience accessible to students beyond our island.
