Save the Dates: Harbor Arts & Books Fair, July 9 & 10!

The Camden Public Library will host the Summer Harbor Arts & Books Fair on Saturday, July 9 and Sunday, July 10, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Fair will feature sixty-five juried artists and craftspeople with booths along Atlantic Ave. and throughout the beautiful and historic grounds of the Camden Amphitheatre and Harbor Park. This beloved community event is free and open to residents and visitors alike.

“This is the most diverse and exciting collection of artisans that have ever participated in the show,” says Lynne Annis, chair of the Harbor Arts committee. “Whether you are looking for a special gift, something for your home, or a treat for yourself, shoppers will undoubtedly be thrilled by the extraordinary talent of this summer’s vendors.” Offerings range from jewelry to photography to fiber arts — plus, ceramics, functional art, fine art, and more!

The library will also host a MASSIVE OUTDOOR BOOK SALE under the tents alongside the fair. The used book event will run Thursday, July 7, through Sunday, July 10, and will be set up under a huge tent adjacent to the Blue Door Book Shed on Atlantic Ave. The book shed and event tent can be reached via the parking lot on the left just past the Camden Amphitheatre. Thousands of books, DVDs, CDs, and audio books will be on sale from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Thursday through Saturday, and 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, on Sunday. CLICK HERE for more information.

History of the event: Originally begun as the Carol Sebold Arts & Crafts show, the juried show has been hosted annually by the Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce for several years and by the C-R-L Chamber of Commerce for years before that. The Library will carry on the tradition of excellent juried arts, with added festive flavor and emphasis on quality and publicity.
