Ice Carving Teams Wanted for WINTERFEST!

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 1 @ 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM. We only have a few slots left for ice carving teams! If you are interested in participating in the ice carving at this year’s Winterfest event, please email Ken Gross at kgross@librarycamden.org for an application.

MORE ABOUT WINTERFEST:

Christmas is over, and now it’s just doggone cold! Not to worry, that means it’s time for Winterfest at the Camden Public Library. We have decided to add a fur-ocious twist to this year’s festivities: The Dog Days of Winter Fashion Show! That’s right; we’re going to invite the community to dress up their pups in their most fetching winter wear to walk the catwalk. It will be a fashion show for dogs of all sizes: teeny-weenie to husky. We’re looking for the sassiest most paw-sh dogs in the Midcoast area to parade for the pup-arazzi. If you would like your pet to participate, please arrive in the Amphitheatre at 11:45 am to get ready for the show at noon. The first 60 pups will get to pick out a toy donated by The Maine Dog, and all participants can enter a free raffle to win a basket of doggie goods donated by Loyal Biscuit Co.  No pre-registration required.

The Dog Days of Winter Fashion Show will be held alongside all of your favorite Winterfest activities: ice-carving, food, music, children’s crafts, and the Sundog Outdoor Expedition Polar Plunge at 2:00 pm. Our fur-st priority is to bring the community outdoors to socialize and smile. We are looking to our neighbors to help us make this an un-furgettable event! It has so much pet-tential.

If you are interested in being part of the ice carving teams, please contact kgross@librarycamden.org. For all other Winterfest questions, please contact jpierce@librarycamden.org. Please see poster below for times and details.
