2019 Mid-Coast Maine BestLit Review Writing Workshops Every Sunday 2-4 Literary Event Organizer and Promoter Eva Morris hosts weekly workshops for authors to work on their short story/essay/ play or script excerpt, from construction to self-editing to presentation, throughout the course of the summer. Summer Concert Series: Novel Jazz

The musicians of "Novel Jazz" have been performing straight-ahead jazz around Maine and New England for over three decades. They draw from the Great American Songbook and specialize in the works of Edward Kennedy ("Duke") Ellington and Billy Strayhorn. We never outgrow listening to a good story read aloud. Join us every Friday afternoon at 11:00 am in the comfortable seating by the Teen Section. Librarians and community members take turns reading each week. Readings last 30 - 60 minutes.
