Tai Chi and Qigong will be offered on Mondays and Fridays at 10:30 am through September.
DEPENDING ON OTHER PROGRAMS AND EVENTS, CLASSES WILL BE HELD IN EITHER THE AMPHITHEATRE OR ON THE LIBRARY’S UPPER LAWN.
There will be NO tai chi class on August 5, August 15, August 19, or September 16.
Enjoy the many benefits of tai chi and qigong through the exploration of movements and principles. These beginning classes are beneficial for people of all levels of fitness—developing awareness, relaxation, energy, flexibility, strength, balance, and pleasure in the open air.
Anna Dembska is a certified teacher of Yang Family tai chi. She studies tai chi and qigong with Mike Shunney in Rockland and Zhong Xuechao (Master Bing) from Wudang Mountain, China. She has also studied Yang Family tai chi with Grandmaster Yang Jun and San Shou two-person play with Dr. Jay Dunbar and Kathleen Cusick. Anna is a singer, composer, and voice teacher by profession, and her tai chi teaching is informed by its many similarities with vocal technique, which she has been practicing and teaching for many years.
Classes are by donation, with a portion of the proceeds donated to the Camden Public Library. For more information contact Anna at firstname.lastname@example.org.
