Camden’s Quasimodal Chorus will return to the Camden Public Library for a spring performance on Sunday afternoon, May 5, at 2:00 pm, in the Reading Room. The Quasimodal Chorus will be joined in the performance by The Mill Street Irregulars. The music will include old favorites and a number of new pieces, several of which have not been heard in performance ever before.
The various choruses are made up of overlapping membership. Singers come from all over the midcoast, from Winterport to Waldoboro. The Quasimodal Chorus first preformed a spring concert at the Library over twenty years ago, and at least eleven of the singers who
performed in 1997 will be singing in the concert in 2019! “We always enjoy and look forward to our Spring concert at the Library,” said Carney Doucette of the Quasimodal Chorus. “The Reading Room is such a gorgeous space for a gathering of voices. We hope you can join us!”
“We have some new music to offer at the concert,” added Susan Shaw, who sings also with the Mill Street Irregulars, “and we have discovered some unusual treasures we are eager to share with you.”
There will be a suggested donation of $10 admission at the door.
