“Spooky” Sound Bath in the Amphitheatre

Sunday, October 30 @ 6:00 pm 7:30 pm

On Saturday, October 30, at 6:00 pm, the Camden Public Library hosts musical instrument creator and sound therapist Jim Doble in the Amphitheatre for the final community sound bath of the season. This program will occur in the dark and incorporate spooky sounds.

Doble says, “Come enjoy a special nighttime inner journey with the meditative sounds of gongs and chimes. This will be a sonic meditation, a timeless moment to rest, reflect, and let go—with a little bit of ‘eerie’ thrown in to help us get in the mood for All Hallows Eve.”

Participants are encouraged to dress very warmly. Bring a flashlight and something comfortable to sit or lay on. Donations accepted with a portion benefiting the Camden Public Library.

Doble has been spreading good vibrations around the globe for nearly 30 years. In the last several years, Doble has collected and made a variety of large gongs and other instruments for use in both his private Sound Therapy practice, as well as playing for group Sound “Baths.”

To attend, please contact Jim Doble: jim@elementaldesign.me, call (207) 785-2212 , or visit his website: https://www.elementaldesign.me/events. (Drop-ins are welcome, but contacting Jim Doble ahead of attendance is strongly recommended so that you can be notified if the program is canceled.)
