Jessica Phillips is a 23-year-old from upstate NY who began writing short stories at about 12 and slowly transitioned into poetry. She considers herself an old soul whose role models are Audrey Hepburn and Eleanor Roosevelt, to name a few. Her favorite movie is “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” and a few of her contemporary favorite writing inspirations are Atticus and Andrea Gibson. She’s currently reading through the classic pieces of Emerson, Hemingway, Frost, and Cummings. She will read from her debut collection of poetry, “Lighting Fires in Empty Rooms”.
