Jumpstart January: Simple Machine Sewing Projects
Tuesday, January 5, 2021 @ 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm
There’s no better time to learn a new creative practice than the start of a new year, especially when we’re all stuck inside because of COVID-19 and cold weather! Join librarian Amy Hand for this free online workshop that will teach you how to make a cloth tissue box cover and handy drawstring bag. EMAIL firstname.lastname@example.org TO REGISTER AND REQUEST A ZOOM LINK TO ATTEND. This program is part of our Jumpstart January Series (see below for links to our other Jumpstart January programs).
To participate, you must have access to a sewing machine and have a basic understanding of how to operate it. Additional items that you should plan to bring to the online class:
- 1/2 yrd of fabric for the tissue box cover
- 2 Fat quarters or 1/4 yrd for the simple bag
- Cotton thread of your color choice
- Ribbon or narrow cording for the pull strings on both projects
Amy will provide measurements and specs and walk everyone through all the steps to complete the project.
