Friday Film Club: The Gardener
Friday, May 21, 2021 @ 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm
The Friday Film Club is an online discussion group for anyone who enjoys critically-acclaimed movies, inspiring documentaries, and foreign films. Discussions will be led by the Library’s Program Coordinator, Julia Pierce.
In May, the group will be watching and discussing The Gardener (2016, 1 hr 28 min, TV-G) a documentary directed by Sebastien Chabot about Frank Cabot’s Les Quatre Vents, aka Cabot Garden, a magnificent private garden in the Charlevoix region near Quebec City. Through the words of Frank Cabot and his family, and with the participation of gardening experts and writers, the film looks back at this remarkable man’s personal story and the artistic philosophy that gave birth to one of the greatest gardens in the world. CLICK HERE TO VIEW THE TRAILER. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to request a Zoom link to attend the discussion.
Also, as a little bonus to the discussion, it would be wonderful if participants wanted to share photos (via Zoom screen share) about amazing gardens that they’ve visited.
