Five Year Winter Study of the Birds of Belfast Bay

Thursday, September 20, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Speakers: Ron Harrell and Gary Gulezian

Ron and Gary will discuss the results of doing bird censuses of Belfast Bay during the months of September through April over a five year period. The purpose of the censuses was to learn exactly which birds make use of the bay and the resources it provides. What is revealed are the patterns of occurrence of the species that spend their winters here, as well as the diversity of those species. Photos and information on many of your favorite water birds, including loons, grebes, ducks, and gulls, will be presented. Hosted by the Midcoast Maine Audubon.
