Explorations Read-Aloud for Adults: One Man’s Meat
Friday, February 19, 2021 @ 11:00 am – 12:00 pm
Every Friday, at 11:00 am, on the library’s YouTube Channel and Facebook Page, the library will stream a brand new recording of local thespian, Joseph Coté reading aloud selections from a wide variety of fascinating and entertaining books of fiction and non-fiction. This is a program to help keep our community connected to books during the pandemic when we are unable to meet in person.
For February 19, Coté will read aloud selections from E.B. White’s book, One Man’s Meat. In print for fifty-five years, this book continues to delight readers with E.B. White’s witty, succinct observations on daily life at a Maine saltwater farm. Too personal for an almanac, too sophisticated for a domestic history, and too funny and self-doubting for a literary journal, One Man’s Meat can best be described as a primer of a countryman’s lessons a timeless recounting of experience that will never go out of style.
