Down East Singers and T-Acadie Concert in the Camden Amphitheatre
Sunday, October 16 @ 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm
The Camden Public Library is delighted to once again host Down East Singers in the Camden Amphitheatre this fall for a free community concert. This year, they will perform with T-Acadie, a trio from Maine specializing in Acadian folk music. Band members Pam Weeks, Jim Joseph, and Bill Olsen play a variety of music from the French Canadian and New England traditions; Cajun waltzes and blues; two steps and Zydeco tunes; plus a variety of songs in 3-part harmony. Down East Singers will preview their December Noël Français concerts that include not only French-Canadian carols, but European French holiday repertoire.
Some chairs will be provided. Attendees are also encouraged to bring camp chairs for comfortable seating. Rain date: October 23
