Coastal Mountains Land Trust Series: Mapping the Future of Land Conservation Along Western Penobscot Bay
Thursday, November 12, 2020 @ 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
The Camden Public Library will host Coastal Mountain Land Trust’s Executive Director, Ian Stewart and Conservation Projects Manager, Jack Shaida for a presentation of the Land Trust’s recently completed 25-year Conservation Plan which identifies the highest priority areas for land conservation throughout the midcoast region between Rockport and Prospect. Using a rigorous scientifically-based analysis, the Land Trust prepared ten detailed maps of the western Penobscot Bay region that together summarize the range of ecological, water, and land form values that foster diverse and healthy ecosystems. When combined, these maps yield provide the information necessary to outline a strategic vision for conserving the natural resources of our midcoast communities.
The program will be held on the Zoom meeting platform. Please email email@example.com to request a Zoom link to attend.
This presentation is part of the library’s annual fall/winter program series with Coastal Mountains Land Trust. Stay tuned for more programs on second Thursdays.
