An event every day that begins at 9:00am, repeating until Sunday, October 6, 2019
The Camden Public Library’s huge fall book sale under the tents will run for four days. Thousands of books, CDs, and DVDs divided into over 25 categories will be on sale beginning Thursday, October 3, and running through Sunday, October 6, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm each day except Sunday, when the sale will close at 4pm.
Thanks to very generous local donors, the sale will also include a selection of classic picture books for children and well as books for young adults, wonderful volumes of Poetry, fabulous Literary Fiction, and Science Fiction, Fantasy, Manga and Graphic Novels. Other book categories include: Art, Cooking, Essays, Gardening, Health, Hobbies and Crafts, How-to, Humor and Satire, Nature, Pets, Maritime, Maine and New England, Performing Arts, Religion and Spirituality, Science, Sports, and Travel. There will also be a large section of Reference books, books of all types in foreign languages, a mass-market paperback section and two tables filled with “special” books that are very old or beautiful or rare.
In addition to all of the books that will be found under the tents, the Library has also collected a great variety of music on CDs, movies, and TV shows on DVDs, and audio books on CDs; there is truly something for everyone.
Generally, hardcover books are $3, trade paperbacks are $2, and mass market paperbacks are $1. Children’s books range from 50 cents to $2 each. Special books will be priced individually, and don’t forget our BOGO sale categories, starting with Biography and History, but who know which categories will follow. Audio Books are $3 each, Music CDs and Movie DVDs are $2.
The supply of books will be refreshed continually during the sale.
All of the funds raised at the book sale will be used to purchase new books and to support children and adult programming at the Camden Public Library.
