All of us know how essential reading is to our everyday lives. Whether we’re perusing the newspaper or the grocery flier, or immersed in a great book, we’re reading something. Reading is a huge part of how we communicate. Collectively, we are a society of readers!
We want to help keep you informed and up to date on all kinds of great materials that hit our shelves — this includes books, audio books, movies, and our bi-weekly newsletter “The LibraryUnderground.” We know you like to be the first to know about a new best seller, a great mystery, or the hottest seasonal cook book to hit the shelves. That’s whey we have a “What’s New!” series of eLists that get sent directly to your inbox once a month. You can choose to sign up for one list or 10 lists — it’s all up to you.
Below, you can browse the covers of the latest books, audio books, and movies we’ve received, and as you do, you’ll see the associated genre change accordingly. Click on any cover to take you to the eList sign up page for that partiuclar genre’s eList. If you’d like to see the entire list all on one page, simply click here, or click on the “Whats New!” link on the sidebar to the right. Have fun!
We hope you’ll find all the reading-related resources, and how you can access them, helpful and easy to use. You can “Search our Collection” from any page on our site by utilizing the search box in the upper right corner of the header. Additionally, by clicking on “My Card” in the menu choice of the header, you’ll be taken to a log-in page which will allow you access to your Camden Public Library Account. From there you can review all of the items you have checked out as well as request renewals in items.
Additional reading-related resources can be found by choosing one of the links on the right hand side of this page. Interlibrary Loan and Homebound Delivery information and request forms are available. Search our MARVEL Database which has incredible access to some of the most sought-after periodicals and publications like Consumer Reports, Valueline, The Wall Street Journal, and hundreds of academic publications.
In addition to keeping up to date on new releases through one of our “eLists”, we’re hoping you’ll sign up for our eNewsletter “The Library UnderGround” which is sent to you every two weeks. This is a great way to stay in touch with us and keep up to date on all sorts of things happening here at the library. Simply click on the “Newsletter” link on the right to sign up today.
