We never outgrow listening to a good story read aloud. Join us every Friday afternoon at 11:00 am in the comfortable seating by the Teen Section. Librarians and community members take turns reading each week. Readings last 30 - 60 minutes. If you are interested in being a reader, please contact Cayla at cmiller@librarycamden.org.

Christmas-by-the-Sea Opening

The Library will continue our Christmas tradition of hosting the annual opening ceremonies of the Christmas-by-the-Sea celebrations. On Friday, November 30, from 4:30 to 6:00 pm, "Music in the Library" will be performed by CHRHS Chamber Singers, Women's Choir, Off Beats, Fortissima, and maybe more! The Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place in Harbor Park at 6:30 pm. That same evening, from 6:15 to 6:45, the CHRHS Chorale will sing carols around the tree.  The Library will also host Santa's…

On Saturday during the Christmas By the Sea celebration, enjoy The Night Before Christmas read by Santa himself!  Photos with Santa by Mark Haskell will follow. Santa will arrive by boat at the town landing at noon, then head to the library to start story time at 12:15.
