The Camden Public Library is offering a Book Sale in the new Book Shed on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, May 4, 5, & 6 from 9:00 to 5:00 Friday and Saturday, and 9-4 on Sunday. The book sales are a significant part of the library’s annual fundraising for books and programs; in fact, the library raises over half of its operating expenses from book sales, donations, grants, and other such income! Read and chat – entirely in Spanish! This Spanish language reading and conversation group will continue on “second and fourth Tuesday” meetings  at 1:00 pm at the Camden Public Library. We’ll chat in Spanish about what we’re reading (books, magazines, etc.) and decide how to proceed. Greg Dorr will present a reprise of his popular slide talk, “The Portuguese Camino Real,” with contributions from  other recent travelers of the Camino, on Thursday evening, May 10, at 7:00 pm at the Camden Public Library. Dorr walked the length of the Portuguese Camino Real two years ago and returned with photos and stories from the adventure.
