Yemen’s Humanitarian Catastrophe and US Foreign Policy: What Can Voters Do?

Friday, August 25, 2017 @ 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Yemen faces the world’s worst humanitarian crisis. 7 million people are on the verge of starvation, and a child dies every ten minutes of preventable disease.
How has US support for the Saudi-led military coalition fueled this crisis, and what can voters do to make US policy a part of the solution?

Will Picard founded the Yemen Peace Project in in 2010 in response to America’s reckless and deadly counter-terrorism operations in Yemen. The Yemen Peace Project advances peaceful, constructive US policies toward Yemen and provides policymakers and the public with accurate information about Yemeni affairs. YPP was instrumental in the recent vote to ban arms sales to Saudi Arabia.
