The Camden Public Library is now the producer of not only the Fall Harbor Arts & Books but the Summer fair as well. The Summer Harbor Arts and Books will be on Saturday and Sunday, July 16 and 17. The newly-configured Summer Harbor Arts & Books will continue to be an admission-free, family-friendly event featuring something for everyone. Harbor Arts & Books offers items for every taste and prices for every pocketbook. Art patrons will find works in watercolor, oil, acrylics, and pastels, as well as photography, sculpture, and mixed media. Fans of handcrafted wares can shop for pottery, glass, woodcrafts, jewelry, and furniture. Fiber artists will also be in abundance with a wide selection of hand woven sweaters, gloves, scarves and much more. The event will be in its original location in Harbor Park with exhibitor booths in the Amphitheatre and along Atlantic Avenue in Camden.
Originally begun as the Carol Sebold Arts & Crafts show, the juried show has been hosted annually by the Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce for several years and by the C-R-L Chamber of Commerce for years before that. The Library will carry on the tradition of excellent juried arts, with added festive flavor and emphasis on quality and publicity.
Harbor Arts & Books is a great day trip or weekend destination. Area inns, motels, and other lodgings welcome guests for HarborArts, schooner sails, and the coastal foliage panorama from nearby Mount Battie. A complete list of exhibitors and booth locations will be online leading up to the show.
The Fall Harbor Arts & Books will be on the weekend of October 1 & 2, 2016.
