Philosophical Society

Tuesday, September 5, 2017 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

At its regularly scheduled reading and discussion group on the first Tuesday of September, the Camden Philosophical Society will continue with the format we began last month of inviting participants to say why philosophy matters to them and to reference one philosopher they especially like. Brief readings from texts are encouraged but not essential.

The discussion, will take place Tuesday, Sept. 5, from 4:00 -6:00 pm in the Picker Room of the Camden Public Library. All are welcome.

Besides meeting on the first Tuesday of each month as a reading and discussion group, the Camden Philosophical Society sponsors occasional evening films and lectures. The next session in our ongoing film series will be on Thursday, Sept. 14, at 6:30 pm, also at the Picker Room of the Camden Public Library. We will show and discuss “13 Conversations About One Thing,” a movie by Jill Sprecher concerning philosophy illustrated through everyday events. It’s free and all are welcome.
