How do I transfer books to Adobe Digital Editions?

  1. First, you must download the book from the cloudLibrary web patron. You can do this by logging into your cloudLibrary account here. Select your library under “find your library” and, on the next page, click on the green “login” button near the upper right corner. Navigate to “My Books” at the top. Below the book there is tiny blue text that says “Download for offline reading.” Click on that. Alternatively, click on the book to pull up “Book Details.” Click on the “Download for offline reading” located beneath the red “Return” button.
  2. Next, you’ll open your Adobe Digital Editions application. You can add items two ways: First, by going to File > Add to Library and selecting the eBook file you just downloaded. Alternatively, you can simply open the file and it should load in Adobe Digital Editions.

I cannot log in to my cloudLibrary account on the website. What’s wrong?
First, make sure you have an internet connection. Second, make sure you have selected the correct library. Third, make sure you have entered your library card number correctly, no spaces. If you have outstanding fines or fees on your account, you will not be able to log in. If your library card has expired, you will not be able to log in. If you are still having problems, give us a call or send an email to info@librarycamden.org

Can I transfer books I’ve checked out on the Mac/PC to my personal device?
Yes, you can! Once you have checked out a book to your Mac/PC, you can transfer a copy to your eReader. To do this, connect your eReader to your Mac/PC using a USB cable. Adobe Digital Editions will automatically detect the connected device and you can transfer between devices. Supported eReaders: Nook (original), Nook Touch, Nook Color (must have Nook version 1.41), older Sony, and Kobo.
